My Daughter Became A Doctor Last Monday!!!
My daughter became a doctor last Monday and I’m still not
feeling the ground yet-Amazing.
I just finished an amazing, unforgettable week and counted on every energy reserve my being could provide.
Last Monday, my daughter and her
fiancee, both medical students at UMDNJ, graduated from medical school . The
ceremony was so moving and the whole evening was like this amazing moment where
everything you always wanted for your child assembled into an unforgettable
event, a milestone that can’t be described. Pride yes, but so many more
feelings-Words aren't adequate here but the experience is embedded forever.
That Tuesday, my daughter, three of her bridesmaids and I went to
Klienfeld Bridal to “browse” and bumped into the TLC crew filming. The
experience was more fun and chaotic than intimate. We kind of planned on just the experience
rather than the purchase-Gowns too pricey and not as impressive as the
hype.
Wednesday, it was back to my corporate grind-longer hours catching
up from the cherished and high-voltage days off, then the long commute home
from NYC to Northern NJ. I hit my laptop to devote time to getting two new businesses
off the ground to REPLACE the insanity of my current corporate gig.
Fitting in workouts: Insane time crunch now because I realize I
also have to find a window for sleep. I
actually did three 20-minute workouts last week with a 10-min speed-walk w/2
five-pound weights and a 10-minute combo
of abs, lunges in one short segment. I was still fueled with enough energy to dabble in research, some writing at 11:00
P.M. and reluctantly hit the sack at 11:45 or midnight and was up at 5:00 A.M (for an early work commute). I
feel amazingly strong and full of focused energy. This
is the end of my third week on Shakeology and the difference in my stamina,
skin and cerebral efforts is astounding me.
