I’m 61, and feel like
this is the dawn of the rest of my life. For the past decade, I have been bombarded with emails, texts, print, multi & social media, friends and
coworkers buzzing with a cocktail of information about supplementation, derma fillers, injectables, surgical
procedures, nutrition and weight loss
options and of course the staple known as exercise or workouts. There is a revolution going on and the enemy
is the “growing old” part of aging. At
times I feel like I’m under an avalanche of endless info, choices, options,
research-based products, clinical trials, nutritional and supplement
discoveries.“Check with your doctor first" is standard advice. OK- That’ll work if your doc is
well-researched in the latest advances in anti-aging science, procedures and
nutrition or if you opt to see several different specialists.
At 61, I want choices & options I can understand, manage
and safely integrate into my life. But I
also want to be where the front line is
in research and results. I don’t want to
just let the aging process happen to me, I want to challenge and even dare it
to invade my world. I am determined to
intercept it and inspire a new way forward
(new for me) into this 60-something decade. Aging should be a partner that has my back, not the enemy holding me back.
Right now, I’m daring to simplify and stream line the endless multimedia blast of
age-reversal info and take a bold second
look at the gateway leading me toward age 62.
I want to enjoy every bit of being 60-something but on my terms, make
this my new age and own it. I’m
beginning to pare it all down, get to the core, the basic stuff that makes me
feel most alive. I’m realizing how simple this can actually
be. For me, it’s my ENERGY that fuels every part of my waking
life, impacts and influences everything I do, everyone I know or want to
know. The derma fillers and procedures will be there for me if I ever want or can
afford them , surely in a more advanced and refined version. My choice is to improve the quality of my energy-That's the barometer for my overall health. It’s
that refined, high-voltage,
super-efficient energy born from optimal health that I’ll need to accomplish every dream and plan I
have.
I feel like I simply don’t have the time to age right now,but aging isn't an option, it's inevitable. But
I do have abundant choices on what to feed my body and how often to do
that. So, before I embark on doing what
it takes to realize my dreams , plan and enjoy the rest of my life, I seriously
need to down size my supplementation regime, honestly. I started
drinking Shakeology a few weeks ago after reading how it was developed and
liked the idea of getting back to a whole food option instead of taking another
gel cap. Shakeology is a new-age meal replacement drink that, to me, tastes like liquid chocolate mousse. It’s a once-a-day deal. I had no preconceived notion of how my body
would respond, but I knew the research behind it and felt it was worth a shot.
As of today, my digestive and belly bloating annoyances have
already improved so much so that I actually feel like I weigh less and I do. My
body is gradually and effectively detoxing.
I’ve been saddled with a slue of projects over the last few months both at work and
launching some new entrepreneurial opportunities on, and had of been averaging 4
hours of sleep -I’m back to 6 hours now.
The increase in my energy, is kind of a shocker-it’s dramatic which I
didn’t expect. I'm normally a bit wired from “nervous energy” but this is different. The energy I have felt since I started Shakeology is, for me, cleaner energy: I really am high-functioning at work on less than 6 hours of sleep and feel enthused about projects at work I typically
can’t stand. I still can’t stand some of
the idiocy that comes with a typical corporate gig but now I feel like I’m way
more efficient so I can make room for things I would rather be doing. It’s hard to pin point as I’m only two weeks
into this.
Here’s the kicker: This unexpected stamina lasts all day. I have enough of an energy reserve now
that I can
fit in a work out at 8:00 P.M. (no more than 30 min) and then crash around 11:00 and
really sleep through the night. I haven’t eaten sugary stuff in the last week
(Nutella was my favorite-it’s still in my cabinet) because I’m not hungry for
it now. I don’t know if this is
connected, but I also noticed my skin has more color and is more moist (that's a bonus). As options go, this isn't bad. I'm on my way to making the rest of my life the best of my life.
I’ll keep you posted on my progress with Shakeolgoy and the other things that I’m finding work for me on this exciting and somewhat scary adventure into the 60-something decade. Also, I am now an independent rep for Shakeology because I believe in the science behind it. You can learn more about this product at: http://myshakeology.com/Jeanne22
Well this is very interesting indeed. Would love to read a little more of this. Great post. Thanks for the heads-up
